Lowlands White Tales
Newest Additions
by Lauren Zehr on 06/29/11The farm is in full delivery mode!! Our does are having new fawns every day which makes for very busy days for us. Our two year olds are looking extremely awesome with really wide racks. The preserve bucks are getting bigger than we even thought they would and bets are being taken as to who will be the biggest. There are still some dates open for hunts this fall for all of our animals, so make sure you call and get yours scheduled!!
Winter at Lowlands
by Lauren Zehr on 02/22/11Winter is always an exciting time. At Lowlands Whitetails, we see the change of season as the beginning of the new growing season. We are starting to see the horns falling off the bucks that are leftover. We've picked up some nice sheds, but with the heavy snowfalls, some are hidden from us yet. The dahl sheep ewes are starting to look heavier. The whitetail does are eating enough for 2 or 3 or 4. The sun is shinning more and the fawns from 2010 are running around. The paths in the woods are carved out of the 3 feet of snow and all is calm except for the snowmobiles on the trail that runs by the deer farm. I'm sure that the bucks have given some of these snowmobile riders a glimpse of their awesome headgear. Stop by.
Availability of Bucks
by Lauren Zehr on 12/06/10While feeding the deer tonight, we got to watch 3 bucks come in that we rarely see. Unfortunately, no camera. All will score between 160-180. All are quite wide racks, 2 with one split brow tine, 1 with 2 split brow tine. Also enjoyed the show put on by the Dall rams. How they can hit so hard and not get headaches is unreal. The European Stags are very showy with their beautiful coats. Have a great day.
